Anexciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced First Contact Practitionerto join our team in the Caterham Minor Injuries Unit. The Unit is open 8am 8pm; 7 days per week; 365 days per year.
Situatedat Caterham Dene Community Hospital the Minor Injury Unit is a practitioner-ledunit, providing a service for adults and children that require treatment ofminor injuries and minor medical conditions.
Weare looking for a dynamic practitioner who is enthusiastic about providing highquality care. You will work as part of a team of experienced practitioners andbe supported by a practice development practitioner who will support yourprofessional development.

Main duties of the job
You need to be able to work autonomously taking a full history and examination, requesting investigations, interpreting the results, diagnosing and planning treatment and discharging patients attending with undifferentiated and undiagnosed minor injuries. This should include an understanding of when to refer to other specialities and the acute hospital.

Job responsibilities
Providing independent specialist advice and clinical expertise, acting as a first-contact physiotherapist and making decisions about the best course of action for patients' care (including in relation to undifferentiated conditions). This will involve seeing patients, without prior contact with their GP, in order to establish a clinical impression and management plan.

1. Degree or Diploma equivalent in physiotherapy
2. HCPC Registration
3. Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent post graduate courses relevant to the clinical field.
4. Stage 1 Roadmap to Practice completed
