As part of our expansion programme we are currently looking to recruit experienced:
COST MANAGER - Construction
Location: Head Office Peterborough - Projects throughout UK & Ireland
Hours: Full Time - Monday - Friday
Salary: £65,000 + p.a - Dependent on Experience (Negotiable)

Our Company prides itself on high standards, professionalism and quality of project delivery. Working with numerous high profile clients, we are looking for a Cost Manager who has experience within the Construction Industry and has a 'Can Do Attitude' with the capability to manage costs & budgets of projects from early cost advice to settlement of the final account.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures
2. Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and option studies
3. Cost planning
4. Advising on and implementing procurement strategies
5. Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes
6. Evaluating and reporting on tenders
7. Valuing completed work and arranging for payments
8. Settling final accounts
9. Providing technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects
10. Administering contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent
11. Producing and presenting reports to clients
12. Preparing bids for services
Personal Specification & Qualities:
1. You will either be an experienced Cost Manager or Estimator looking to move into Cost Management
2. Main Contractor or Consultancy experience is essential
3. Proven experience in cost management (MRICS qualification would be beneficial)
4. Strong expertise in cost estimating and planning
5. Comprehensive understanding of construction methods and materials
6. Practical experience with construction procurement strategies, including tendering & contract management
7. A full driving licence
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
9. Proficient in problem-solving, negotiation, financial management and numeracy
10. Advanced ICT skills, particularly in MS Outlook, Word & especially Excel
11. Solid understanding of legislation related to building contracts
12. A collaborative team player with a commitment to shared goals
13. Good negotiator
