We're seeking a Senior Buyer - Procurement Support to join our Industrial Policy, Supply Chain and Procurement (ISP) team! ISP are responsible for procuring and managing the supply chain for direct and indirect products and services for both projects and the business, with a total spend of approximately €500M per year across UK, France and Italy.
Salary: Circa £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
As Procurement Support, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior & Lead Buyer with day-to-day transactional activities. You will also be responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome in line with procurement excellence. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with the MBDA multi-function teams, as well as suppliers. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a varied and dynamic team environment, where complex stakeholder management and strategic sourcing are undertaken to deliver current and future requirements.
1. Support the Lead and Senior Buyers in the implementation Frame Contracts on SAP
2. Raise Purchase Orders from SAP requisitions on behalf of Buyers
3. Downloading of datapacks and making available for Buyer Review
4. Notifying the Manufacturing Planning teams / Requestor of PO creation, including confirming supplier point of contact for the transfer of Free Issue Material
5. The management of SAP data including: Material Master & Purchase Info Records
6. Open Order Book Management with suppliers, including Delivery Dates, Reason Codes and Acknowledgements
7. Working with Good's Inwards locating deliveries and resolving queries
8. Resolving invoice queries with Suppliers and Finance
9. Supporting internal and external stakeholders effectively
10. Data analysis/validation of procurement data as required
11. Support of specific activities that arise and are requested by the Procurement Leadership Team
What we're looking for from you:
You will have in-depth knowledge of transactional and operational procurement processes, whilst being an excellent team player and capable of taking a lead in your category. You will have well-developed communication, negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels with both your internal and external stakeholders. You will be passionate about driving improvements in order to meet the overall needs of the business.
1. Procurement and Supply Chain experience, managing activities within the scope of the role, including principles, practices and processes
2. Commercial and financial understanding
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate to various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
4. Negotiation and influencing skills; able to secure the best commercial position for MBDA.
5. High level of computer literacy and proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools for analysing and communicating purposes.
6. Whilst not essential, MCIPS (or working towards) or equivalent HNC/HND in Business Studies or equivalent qualification would be beneficial.
