An exciting opportunity has become available at this SEND service, Redbridge. The English lead in the Home Tuition team will be going on maternity leave after the Easter Break, and we would like to use an agency teacher to cover her role while she is away. We are looking for someone who is available until the end of the Autumn Term, December 2025.
The Service is a large dynamic SEND Team based in Redbridge, supporting students from 0-25 years with SEND across the Local Authority. This includes specialist advisory teachers across all 4 broad areas of SEND, specialist HLTAs, specialist technicians, and more. The Medical Inclusion Service has recently become part of the wider SEaTSS service within the local authority. We are looking for highly skilled specialist staff who are passionate about Inclusion to move the medical inclusion service offer forward, ensuring that our most vulnerable children and young people access a high-quality educational offer while they are unable to attend school.
Responsibilities:
1. Planning and delivering an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and individualised curriculum for students being educated outside of school through direct teaching.
2. Assessing student needs, regularly monitoring progress, and contributing to raising standards of student attainment.
3. Providing advice and guidance to tutors.
4. Subject leadership for one of: English, Maths, or Science for the medical inclusion service, including planning, quality assurance, and impact measurement for agreed core subjects.
Minimum Requirements:
1. QTS required.
2. Preferred SEND experience.
3. Experience preferred in leading a core subject area.
4. Evidence of developing and delivering training and support packages for schools and/or other educational establishments.
