Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing specialist within the Oil and Gas sector. They are seeking a talented and experienced Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to perform various inspection tasks under the instruction of the Inspection Supervisor and collaborate with colleagues in the inspection team to ensure conformance to Company standards, specifications, and drawings.
Responsibilities include ensuring the conformance of products and processes to relevant specifications and standards, and completing and maintaining accurate documentation according to Company requirements. This includes:
1. 1st Off Inspections
2. Dimensional Inspection Record Sheets
3. Dye Penetrant Inspection
4. PMI, Ferrite scope & Copper Sulphate Reports
5. Non-conformance reports
6. Work instructions/procedures
7. Raw materials certification
8. Calibration of inspection equipment
Experience
1. Fully experienced with all inspection/measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, thread gauges, shadow graphs, and hardness testing equipment.
2. Experienced in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
3. Extensive experience using a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), both manual & CNC.
4. Conversant with materials certification.
5. Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially when quality requirements conflict with production demands.
6. Work to high standards of quality, within a strong safety culture; a good working knowledge of QMS ISO9001:2008 is desirable.
7. Capable of working with tight deadlines and multiple deliverables.
8. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
9. Good numerical and literacy skills.
10. Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, email, and internet.
11. Familiarity with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
12. Proficiency in relevant software and inspection tools.
