Trainee Banknote Dealer Location: Peterborough Role purpose To be a point of contact for our wholesale banknotes customers, successfully fulfilling order requests and resolving client queries. To profitably trade banknotes, liaising with the relevant internal departments to oversee the end to end service delivery for our clients. To identify new revenue generating opportunities by maintaining excellent client relationships. Key accountabilities Monitor pricing with counterparties to ensure best pricing and maximize contribution on customer trades. Liaise with all relevant departments, including Vault, Inventory and Distribution to ensure accurate and timely processing of customers trades. Accurate rate setting in line with agreed contractual terms and/or expected norms. Maximise value from existing accounts using appropriate Customer Relationship Management techniques. Pass on any cross-sell opportunities to the relevant teams. Maintain our commitment to Travelex’s Compliance Culture in all our customer contact. Achieve Revenue/Contribution Targets The ability to travel internationally if and when required in order to meet with clients face-to-face Role-specific experience and skills Excellent communication skills. Experience of communicating directly with clients would be an advantage. Excellent numeric skills and accuracy Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills General experience and personal qualities Self-aware, open-minded with a high degree of personal and professional integrity Passion for delivering exceptional customer service – and a willingness to go beyond. Commercial acumen, with an eye for reaching and exceeding financial targets Training will be given on the job, but the candidate should show a keen interest in learning and developing new skills.
