Job Description Closing Date - 05 January 2025 Summary: This is a full time position, working 40 hours per week Administration of the day to day activities across all sections of the healthcare diagnostic business from booking in of samples received, coordination of the reporting of these samples through to the return of these cases back to the customer (where applicable) within the Turn Around Times agreed. To provide complete customer support to all current customers enquiries either via phone call or email correspondence Duties: Sample management of all samples received within the department which includes the following responsibilities: Opening and sorting work received within the department and entering patient information for all cases received into our LIMS database The data input of clinical information copy typed into our LIMS database. Once all samples have been booked in and processing complete you will coordinate the reporting of all cases within the agreed turn around times ensuring that cases are placed appropriately within our specialist consultant team and that reports are delivered back to the customer within a timely manner. Managing all reporting of cases to ensure that customer Turn Around Times are met Manage the filing or return of all samples once reported, prioritising to ensure samples are returned efficiently back to the referring hospital (when applicable) Organisation of workload to prevent bottlenecks, working closely with the consultant team and laboratory team to ensure cases are reported in a timely manner within agreed Turn Around Times. Take responsibility for all telephone and email enquiries relevant to the samples received within the department Responding to customers in a timely manner with the information that they require Manage the customer’s LIMS account and corresponding secure portal accounts to ensure reports are received correctly. Support the courier in packaging cases to send to the reporting consultant team and our customers including also verifying courier packages before collection. Scanning (Whole Slide Imaging), quality checking and releasing of cases to the reporting consultant team. Scanning documentation, archiving and filing of material. Managing additional work requests and supporting the lab team to ensure a high throughput of cases. To comply with all quality control procedures to support maintenance of the Source BioScience’s Quality Management System. To comply with safe working practices in accordance with Company safety policies. To participate in the Annual Joint Staff Review process, in accordance with Company Policy. To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with grade and experience. Attend any training endeavours as appropriate to role or as reasonably requested by Line Manager. The salary for this role is up to £24960.00 per annum dependent on experience. Hours of work: 40 per week
