The Lead Learning Experience Manager will oversee a team of Learning and Development (L&D) professionals and drive initiatives that enhance employee capabilities and improve business outcomes.
This pivotal role conceptualizes, designs, implements, and manages learning programmes to boost employee performance, skills, capabilities, and engagement.
This role reports to the Head of Learning and Development and Internal Communications and focuses on aligning learning strategies with business goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring that Five Guys remains competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Leadership and Strategy:
o Lead and manage a team of L&D professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
o Design and execute a forward-thinking learning strategy and training curricula, aligned with the organisation's goals, emphasizing both immediate impact and long-term employee development.
o Foster cross-departmental training and collaboration through tailored development programmes.
* Learning Programme Development:
o Develop, deliver, and evaluate innovative learning experiences tailored to the needs of employees across various levels.
o Utilise psychometric tools, such as Insights Discovery (preferred), to create personalised learning journeys that enhance team dynamics and individual performance.
o Leverage learning technologies, including managing the Five Guys' Learning Management System (we use Absorb).
* Stakeholder Engagement:
o Collaborate with key business stakeholders to identify skill gaps and create tailored training solutions.
o Advocate for a consultative approach, ensuring learning initiatives address root causes and deliver measurable results.
o Partner with department Heads to align learning programmes with business priorities and expectations.
* Performance Consulting:
o Use data-driven insights to diagnose performance issues and recommend learning solutions that unlock employee potential and improve business performance.
o Establish metrics to assess the impact of L&D initiatives and refine strategies based on data-driven insights.
o Showcase the effectiveness of programmes through detailed reporting on employee engagement and guest satisfaction outcomes.
o Champion a consultative methodology, integrating analysis, evidence-based recommendations, and co-created solutions.
* Operational Excellence:
o Oversee the deployment of training programs, ensuring consistency in quality and alignment with business objectives.
o Ensure training delivery is scalable, leveraging technology where appropriate to enhance accessibility and effectiveness.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
* Sector Expertise: Proven experience in retail, hospitality, or F&B, with a solid understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
* Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in leading L&D teams, coaching trainers, and managing cross-functional projects.
* Psychometric Tools: Familiarity with psychometric profiling tools such as Insights Discovery or similar methodologies is highly desirable.
* Performance Consulting: Ability to take a consultative approach to learning design, focusing on data-driven analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in leveraging digital learning platforms and tools to deliver impactful training solutions.
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.
* Data-driven mindset, with a focus on measuring the impact of learning initiatives.

LOCATION:
* This role is based in our West London Office working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely (with some travel required).
* Travel and overnight stays will be involved within the role; flexibility is essential. Ability to commute to the Support Office (W10 6TP) is a must and frequent travel to locations within the UK.
