Job Description Job Title: Part Time Human Resource Manager Role Summary & Scope: As the Bike Right Human Resource Manager, reporting into Head of Bike Right and working closely with the senior management team this role will focus on, workforce recruitment, training, policy changes and employee relations. You will be required to understand and, drive engagement, and implement strategies to enhance reward and recognition. You will provide support and guidance regarding recruitment, retention and embedding our unique culture across the various locations and in exciting areas of growth. You will take time to understand the complexities of our organisation and the status of our employees to ensure that we operate in an efficient and effective manner whilst also ensuring that our team remain committed, focussed and engaged. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring we have a strong foundation of robust, effective and efficient employee lifecycle processes and systems that set us up for success and sustain continuous growth. Providing effective HR support and advice to Senior Management. To work in partnership with Senior Management to effectively support, coach and manage employment relation issues using business procedures and best practice, ideally resolving issues where possible informally. Support and advise on recruitment processes, including writing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, supporting shortlisting, organising interviews, references and job offers. Onboarding new starters into Bike Right, including writing employment contracts, collating and administrating new starter documents, sending induction documentation and supporting the Finance Manager with Payroll Admin. Administering employment contractual changes and other HR administration tasks as required. Keeping accurate digital files and ensuring GDPR compliance. Ensuring all HR related policies and guidance are up to date, relevant and legally compliant. Ensuring that leaver processes are followed, including conducting an exit interview. Seek support and guidance from appropriate experts where appropriate. Undertake any ad hoc duties as would reasonably be expected. Assist Senior management team in Cycle Confident (sister company) as needed. Follow all Company policies, procedures and established guidelines; Undertake available training and development as deemed necessary. Skills Required: Essential Proven experience in working in a HR generalist position. Ability to influence and work collaboratively in a small management team. A self-starter, goal setter and completer finisher. Energy and a genuine passion for creating an exceptional and effective people experience. Excellent communicator with an approachable and diplomatic demeanour. Skilled at articulating what needs to happen. An agile and pragmatic approach to work. Ability to stay calm in difficult situations. Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail. Ability to listen and translate needs into workable HR solutions and actions. Ability to demonstrate resilience and manage challenging situations effectively. Excellent organising and problem-solving skills. CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent qualification or experience). A good understanding of UK employment law with the ability to apply it on a commercial basis. Desirable Experience of a working in a standalone position. Experience of the TUPE processes. An interest in cycling. Salary: FTE - £37,000 p.a. Hours: 16 – 20 hours per week over 4 or 5 days.
