Overview
This role is part of a dynamic team focused on developing and continually improving legal technology within a thriving firm. The firm is undergoing a significant technology transformation, and this role will be involved in delivering these solutions throughout and into the future.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
1. Case management workflow development within our legal software.
2. Gathering business requirements from key stakeholders and translating them into technical requirements.
3. Maintaining individual workload via development trackers.
4. Challenging proposed recommendations and decisions at all levels using a logic-based approach.
5. Working with vendors/consultants as needed and collaborating with stakeholders across the firm.
6. Keeping skills up to date and taking responsibility for self-development.
7. Working with existing solutions and identifying opportunities for improvements.
8. Maintaining appropriate documentation.
9. Generating acceptance criteria and facilitating User Acceptance Testing.
10. Providing end user support for the Case Management System in person, by email, and telephone.
Essential & Desirable Criteria
Essential skills
1. At least one year of case management development within the legal/professional services industry.
2. An excellent communicator, presenter, negotiator, and team player.
3. Ability to present and communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from the board to external suppliers.
4. Ability to understand complex requirements, analyze using an objective mind, and apply logical thinking to produce robust and understandable requirements.
5. An intrinsic self-motivator with a keen ability to prioritize and manage workloads for self.
6. Basic Microsoft SQL database querying skills.
Desirable skills and experience
1. Knowledge and experience with .NET, Dell Boomi, and JavaScript.
2. Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse.
3. Experience with complex projects, IT and otherwise.
4. Exposure to the legal or professional services sectors.
