The Horticulture Department at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve has a vacancy for a Gardener, to join the team.
Working with a small team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds and gardens at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve. Duties will mainly include looking after the hotel & accommodation gardens, lawns and grass areas, the herbaceous and mixed plantings, wall shrubs, lawns, houseplant displays and seasonal displays ensuring they meet the organisations priorities.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidates will have previous experience working as a gardener within a recognised Garden or Estate. Qualifications are an advantage but not essential for this role as experience of similar work will also be considered. You must have good general horticultural knowledge and have a good level of physical fitness as these roles will involve heavy lifting. A valid driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive company vehicles. We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and flexible and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Contract Details
The role is permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, five days out of seven. Working hours are 7:30am – 4:00pm which can include weekends and bank holidays. A reliable mode of transport is essential due to our remote location. All candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
