About the opportunity:
Amentum Defence and Security provide design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK and abroad. Our team is experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within our established practice, and we are looking for a Recently Qualified Architect with transferable skills who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges. We offer hybrid working with the main location being flexible with some of the work able to be carried out from home, with visits to sites potentially required. We have base offices in Reading, Bristol, Glasgow and Warrington.
Our projects include developing solutions through all RIBA stages in highly regulated environments, in support of air, land and sea defence establishments, the UK nuclear submarine fleet, and both existing and new build nuclear power stations.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of architectural design
2. Supporting the architectural team in the development of the necessary design deliverables
3. Working alongside a wider design team to co-ordinate the design
4. Opportunity to develop and work towards Registration and chartership
5. Working alongside a team of experienced architects and engineers to deliver complex projects and programmes.
Here is what you need:
1. Technical design experience working to British and international regulations and standards
2. Experience in the preparation and delivery of drawing packages and key project deliverables in Revit
3. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
4. Good level of proficiency in Autodesk Revit and a wider understanding of BIM Level 2
5. You must be a UK National and able/willing to obtain SC level security clearance, which includes resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years
