Sponne is an outstanding community comprehensive school with some 1490 students aged 11-18 on roll with 170 staff. The school is part of Tove Learning Trust, comprising of fourteen schools and also has a training school and the Grand Union Training Partnership on site.
We are looking for a committed and talented teacher to join our outstanding Geography team on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be able to deliver Geography at KS3, GCSE and A Level. The Geography department forms a key part of the successful Humanities faculty at Sponne School. Geography is very popular, with large numbers of students choosing the subject at both GCSE and A Level. We are looking for an engaging and dynamic classroom practitioner to teach Geography to all year groups. The successful candidate will be a team player willing to contribute to, and learn from, the best practice in the school. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and, together with the other Humanities teachers, maintain a relentless focus on teaching and learning and raising achievement. The role is suitable for ECTs and experienced colleagues. Start date is negotiable.
