SirRobert McAlpine has secured a prestigiouscontract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery ManufacturingFacility. The initial phase includes the design and construction ofa new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, andsite-wide external works.
This ConstructionManager role will be looking after the £60 million Envelope Packageof our £850million project in Bridgwater.Somerset.

The Construction Managerrole:
Reporting to the ProjectManager, you will lead a team of Section Managers, PackageEngineers, works staff, and subcontractors to deliver the projectto the highest standard of safety and performance. You will ensuretechnical compliance with contract documents, specifications, anddrawings
You will oversee the timely executionof operations in both pre-construction and construction phases,occasionally acting as Project Manager during periods of illness orholiday. You will manage interfaces between internal departmentsand external agencies, such as Architects, Engineers, ConstructionWorkers, Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works, and SiteStaff
You will identify and mitigate programmerisks while addressing any shortcomings in our processes orsystems. Your profile:
* Strong Leadership skills
* Experience delivering multi-million-pound buildingprojects
* Good knowledge of building products,construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and qualitystandards
* Familiarity with constructionsoftware packages (Asta PowerProjects, Navisworks, TrimbleFieldview desirable)
* Strong knowledge ofbuilding products, construction details, and relevant rules,regulations, and quality standards
* Familiarity with various forms of contract, such asNEC4 and JCT D&B
* Proficiencyin construction software packages
* Abilityto plan effectively while maintaining a strategicperspective
* Strong leadership and humanresource management skills
* Qualificationssuch as NEBOSH and Site Management Safety Training Scheme(SMSTS) would be desirable
* A degree in civilor structural engineering, construction management, or arelated field19
* Up-to-date SMSTS andrelevant Construction Skills Certificate Card
* Membership in a construction industry-relatedprofessional body, such as CIOB or ICE
