Job Overview
We are seeking a post holder for the exciting and diverse role of General Manager to lead the provision of patient-centred services at Wathwood Hospital.
You will be a highly competent, credible leader, bringing your wealth of experience to the role, always behaving in accordance with the Trust values and inspiring others to deliver your vision. You are motivational, encouraging, an active listener, and have the patient at the centre of every decision you make.
Main Duties of the Job
You will lead, direct, and co-ordinate a high-quality, safe, effective, and efficient service provision to meet the needs of patients, their carers, and families. Reporting directly to the Care Group Deputy Director, you will be a senior leader in the care unit, spanning all areas of operational activity, providing strategic support to the Clinical Director and overseeing the delivery of service development and improvement.

Qualifications - Academic / Craft / Professional
* Registration with a clinical profession, e.g., NMC, HCPC
* Managerial qualification to Masters level or equivalent level of experience
Experience
* Experience of managing an inpatient health care service
* Experience of managing/leading Community Team
* Experience of management and monitoring of budgets
* Experience of working at a system level with Provider Collaborative / ICS
* Experience of managing an inpatient forensic service
Skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Ability to provide the vision and leadership for the Care unit
* Well-developed information technology and data analysis skills
Contractual Requirements
* Available to participate in senior managers’ on-call rota
* Commitment to ongoing personal development
* Ability to travel
