We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics FLM to join our team at Allied Bakeries Stoke and lead the way in delivering excellence As the Logistics FLM, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are safely delivered to customers on time and in full. Working under the guidance of the Logistics Manager, you’ll inspire and motivate our Transport and Despatch teams, drive change, and implement improvements across the department.Key Accountabilities • Safety First: Lead by example and promote a culture of safety, ensuring all Health & Safety standards are met and maintained. • Team Leadership: Set clear goals, targets, and expectations for your team while motivating and supporting them to exceed objectives. • Training & Development: Help recruit, train, and develop staff to align with the company’s values and goals, ensuring a high-performing team. • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and industry standards to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all despatched goods meet customer expectations, and manage compliance with traceability and food safety standards. • Cost Control: Manage operational costs effectively, focusing on reducing absence, labour, damage, and losses.The Right Person • A strong leader with experience in warehousing and/or transport logistics operations. • An excellent communicator with a knack for building effective relationships across teams. • A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work on your own initiative. • Ability to manage performance, absence, and conduct, and drive results consistently. • A completer-finisher mentality with a focus on continuous improvement. • CPC qualification is desirable, or the willingness to achieve it.
