What We Can Offer You
We have Band 3 Senior Health Care Support Worker posts within Paediatric Theatres for enthusiastic and motivated staff to join our innovative and dynamic team, providing you with the opportunity to gain a breadth of knowledge and exposure to multiple specialties.
Role: In partnership with the Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner the Senior Health Care Support Worker will review the patients individual care plan and will perform necessary aspects of care.
The RHCYP Theatre department offers a wide range of surgical specialities. Through this we provide unique opportunities to enhance professional knowledge. Working closely with a Multi-Disciplinary Team allows us collectively to provide excellent standards of perioperative care for all our patients whilst nurturing our team members and providing continuous professional development.
RHCYP Theatres provide specialist paediatric care in many surgical services such as General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Scottish National Spinal Surgery (SNSS), Scottish National Ear Reconstruction Service, Orthopaedics, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Dental, Gastroenterology (GI), Rheumatology, Haematology/ Oncology and Opthalmology surgery. We are continuously developing our services and we are the first hospital in Scotland to provide Paediatric Intra Operative MRI surgery. RHCYP is a Paediatric Major Trauma Centre providing expert care for seriously injured paediatric patients within the South East of Scotland. We provide 24/7 emergency cover within the department. This is an exciting time to join the team as we are always developing our services and being part of the team in doing so is such a rewarding aspect of the job.
