What does a life as Facilities Maintenance look like?
FM services are core to our business. We work closely with other maintenance divisions to deliver innovative FM services across various sectors and cultural backgrounds throughout the UK.
The apprenticeship course will cover the following:
* Complying with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation (Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974), e.g., logging incidents, posting/distributing safety notices, checking fire extinguishers and alarms, using PPE.
* Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance according to SOPs, e.g., changing toner, batteries, replenishing stationary, PPM audits.
* Reporting issues and problems as per SOPs.
* Inspecting premises and facilities to ensure proper functioning of buildings and equipment, e.g., access systems, temperature checks, repairs.
* Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of communal areas, ensuring safety and tidiness, managing deliveries, and acting as a traffic marshal.
* Supporting access management systems, including ID checks, key authorization, security marking, and alarm systems.
* Collecting FM and safety data, preparing preliminary reports on energy, heating, lighting, security, etc.
What do you need to be a successful applicant:
* GCSEs in English and maths, grade 4 or above.
* A desire to learn and develop skills, knowledge, and safety procedures.
* You must live in the Kinlochleven area.
* You are expected to arrive at the branch by 8:00 am daily and make your own way home after work.
* Ability to establish and maintain good customer relationships.
* Note: Successful applicants will need to complete a basic Math & English test, with a practical test possible at interview.
