Apply now for the position of Incoming Quality Control Engineer and you will provide day to day inspection expertise in the areas of Component and Mechatronic Inspection supporting manufacturing. To complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and lot inspection activities Your Role: Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement test, dispositioning defective products for rework, and confirming re-work. You will determine acceptance and rejection of materials presented for inspection. Document inspection results by completing quality inspection reports and logs, and correctly and carefully inputting data into the quality database. Alerting and assisting the Supplier Quality Engineering department with failure and nonconforming material data recording and reporting. Be a team member of the quality department and support Production, Engineering and other internal departments when requested to check specifications and tolerances. Assess Supplier capability to meet quality requirements to ensure supplier processes are an effective fit with Siemens requirements. To support technology transfer initiatives and new product introduction projects. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with quality regulations. Your Expertise: Ideally with 2 years relevant experience. Minimum of a third level qualification (Diploma/Degree) in an appropriate discipline (Quality Management, Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering) OR appropriate and commensurate experience. Experience in leading and being a part of teams and projects with strong communications written and verbal. Ability to work in technically complex multi discipline areas across the whole supply chain, including the supplier environment. Inspection Methodologies such as; PCBA Visual Inspection (IPC-A-610), Fabricated/Machined Metal Mechanical/Visual inspection, Precision linear measurement, non-contact measurement, Moulded and Machined plastics inspection and measurement. Geometrical Tolerancing (e.g. true position, perpendicularity, concentricity, angularity, roundness etc.). General Inspection to Drawing; Commercial off the shelf components, inspect against vendors item or model number. Excellent Communication skills both oral and written.
