Do you want the opportunity to innovate and influence approaches to strategic change initiatives? You will have a direct influence on Asda’s approach to business change initiatives with potential people implications. In this way you will play a part in the delivery of Asda’s strategic priorities and people policy development. Your Role: A key business partner, providing solutions focused employment law advice on all aspects of UK employment law. Working closely with Asda’s People Team and other internal stakeholders to implement business change projects and people policy developments, you will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop people focused solutions. Reporting to Asda’s Senior Legal Director – Employment, Regulatory, Claims and Insurance and working with the in house employment law team, you will also work on some contentious employment law matters and sometimes manage external counsel. “Let's find out about you” You will be legally qualified with 6 – 10 years PQE Experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters gained, ideally, in an established in-house legal team or a leading private practice firm Employment tribunal case management experience You must have demonstrable experience of the application of employment law in a fast-moving commercial context You will have good commercial acumen and communication and influencing skills Employment law experience in a retail context would be preferable but not necessary “ Find your everything at Asda” - bringing brighter living within everyone's reach.
