Sport, Fitness Instruction & Personal Trainer Tutor with Maths and English We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Sport, Fitness Instruction & Personal Training Tutor with expertise in delivering functional skills to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative teaching sessions to learners pursuing their NCFE qualifications, while also integrating functional skills development in English and mathematics. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver high-quality teaching sessions aligned with the curriculum, incorporating relevant functional skills in English and mathematics. To provide ongoing impartial IAG and CIAG to enable learners to progress and achieve their goals. Practical Sessions: Organise and lead practical gym sessions to enhance learners practical skills and understanding of sports principles and techniques. Employ strategies to safeguard others, identifying risks and following reporting procedures to provide timely support. Classroom Instruction: Deliver theoretical lessons covering topics such as anatomy and physiology, client inductions, and sports industry knowledge, while integrating functional skills activities to support literacy and numeracy development. Assessment and Feedback: Implement effective assessment methods to evaluate learner progress and provide constructive feedback to learners with positive and developmental feedback including written, to enable them to develop and achieve. Individualised Support: Provide individualised support to learners, including identifying and addressing any barriers to learning and implementing appropriate interventions. Resource Development: Develop and adapt teaching materials and resources to suit the diverse needs and learning styles of learners, enhancing their engagement, and understanding. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all learners during practical and theoretical sessions. Progress Monitoring: Monitor and track learner progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to support their academic and personal development. Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to support the overall success of the NCFE programme and promote opportunities for learner progression. Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in education, NCFE curriculum developments, and functional skills requirements, and adhere to Knights training academy policies and procedures. Be proactive in your own continuous professional development, engaging and resourcing opportunities to improve your professional practice. Requirements: Education: Level 2 Gym Instruction, Level 3 Personal Training, Level 3 in Sports Coaching and Level 3 Assessors award is required. A bachelors degree in sports science, physical education, or a related field is desirable. A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.) is highly desirable. Experience: Previous experience teaching NCFE qualifications and delivering functional skills in English and mathematics is preferred. Gym Expertise: A strong understanding of training principles, techniques, and industry practices, with experience in leading practical gym sessions. Coaching Expertise: A strong understanding of coaching principles, techniques, and industry practices, with experience in leading practical coaching sessions. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver effective lessons and manage resources effectively. Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners and respond to changing educational requirements.
