An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior nurse looking for their next step towards nursing management and leadership within the specialty of complex health and elderly medicine.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage a dedicated and committed team at North Manchester General Hospital on the Frailty unit (CV2), a 16 bed mixed frailty unit. You will work alongside and in collaboration with an experienced MDT to provide excellent care to our elderly patients.
The successful candidate will be required to provide senior leadership of the nursing team to monitor, maintain and improve care standards. To ensure quality patient experience and maintain workforce KPIs, within the care of frail elderly patients. To provide education and empowerment to the workforce, with a focus on continued improvement.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have previous substantive experience at Band 6 or band 7 level and possess experience within change management. Excellent communication skills are essential and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate and sustain new and innovative ways of working which facilitate developments in nursing practice.
You will be required to provide continuity in dealing with and overseeing operational Nursing issues on a daily basis. Therefore, the ability to lead, manage and direct a team efficiently and effectively is essential. You will be supported in the role by the Matron and a team of senior nursing staff on the ward. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and committed to improving service delivery with a flexible approach to the needs of the service.
