Job Purpose: I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me for a few hours each week in the school holidays. I enjoy playing outside and being able to run and jump. I also like playing with sensory activities. I would like you to take me out to explore the community and to leisure activities. I have a diagnosis of Autism, learning disabilities and associated communication difficulties. In school I use PECS cards for communication. I will need support to keep me safe and to learn about dangers and risks. I will also need help with personal care. Location: Norwich, NR3 Details: - Days out and exploring the local community - Ensuring safety when out and about. - Support with personal care Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success. Essential - Experience of working with children with Autism and similar needs. - Friendly, caring, nurturing and understanding. - Reliable and flexible - Active Desirable: - Full UK driving licence. - Use of own car for work and appropriate insurance for business use. Summary Terms and Conditions - The rate of pay for this position is £12.50 per hour. - Hours and times of work as follows: 4 hours per week, school holidays only (days and times to be discussed at interview). - The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. - Access to free Care Skills training for employer workers. - If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training. - You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
