We are looking for an experienced and commercial HR Business Partner to work as part of the Fintel Group HR Leadership team to define and implement a creative HR strategy, and lead on operational plans and projects.
The role
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with Defaqto stakeholders to become a trusted advisor and providing the ‘voice of the customer’ back to the central HR team to ensure the tools, frameworks, policies and service levels meet the requirements of the assigned business areas.

Responsibilities will include:
* Working closely with stakeholders to ensure a joined-up approach to culture, people systems and processes and alignment with the wider group.
* Support the design and implementation of HR transformation and change programmes within the company, including restructuring, collective consultation, variation of contracts and TUPE transfer.
* Coach and build the capability of managers to anticipate and pre-empt organisational issues, cultivating a culture of line manager responsibility and accountability.
* Provide expert input across the full range of HR issues in your business areas; acting as the point of contact and subject matter expert. Providing business partnering support to the senior leadership team and their teams.
* Understand and anticipate the need for continuous improvement in our people practices, diagnose underlying issues and make the case for change with business leaders.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, including leaders, managers, employees and external clients.
* Make data-driven decisions by leveraging people analytics to identify trends, anticipate needs, and deliver impactful solutions.
* Be an ambassador for the HR function and people agenda.
What you will need to succeed:
* You will need to have experience working as an HRBP along with sound generalist HR operations experience (recruitment, discipline, grievance, organisational change and re-structuring, redundancy and changing terms and conditions of employment and TUPE).
* You will have exceptional communication skills and the credibility to influence at all levels, offering high support, high challenge and acting as a ‘critical friend’.
* You will also be able to work at pace, supporting at a strategic level whilst providing hands on support to the site operational teams when needed.
* You will count data and reporting as one of your strengths to support effective, evidence-based decision making.
* Alongside this, you will have a customer first approach, demonstrating resilience, problem solving and critical thinking skills with a passion for service/process improvement.
* You will be comfortable working in a matrix management environment.
Location
Defaqto is based in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire and you will be expected to work from the office a couple of times each week as a minimum. From time to time, you will be required to travel to Huddersfield to the Fintel headquarters.
