We have an exciting opportunity to join the Westmorland and Furness Family Hub Team.
This role is an excellent opportunity to join our newly created team and we are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated individual to provide a high level of community engagement to enable delivery of the programmes of work.
About this opportunity
The post holder will work with partner organisations, stakeholders, families, young people and communities to ensure the Family Hub service is built on the needs of the community. To work with communities and partners to understand, reduce and eliminate barriers to engagement with Family Hubs and to use your expertise to help build on and develop the service. To be the face of the Family Hub, providing a warm, safe and welcoming space to families and to create a community ‘spirit’, with Family Hubs at the heart.
Who we are looking for
The right candidiate will have previous experience working in this sector and a good understandng of the services provided by the Children’s Services Directorate, as well as experience working with other agencies and partners to improve outcomes for Children and Young People.
We are looking for candidates with strong customer service and people skills including facilitation and negotiation, communication skills both written, face-to-face and over Teams.

DBS
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with Children.
