Embrace Excellence
The senior security officer role delivers the efficient and effective provision of all aspects of security at our Great Western Road site - ensuring a safe, secure working environment for staff and visitors, the physical security of our buildings and grounds, and protecting our ultra-premium spirit stocks and other company assets against loss or damage.
Make an Impact
Reporting to the dayshift security team leader, key responsibilities include, amongst other things:
* Adopting and complying with standard operating procedures and security strategies for the site.
* Maintaining a high level of security awareness via practice briefings, training and education.
* Investigating breaches of security and reporting findings with recommended action to the Security Team Leader, notifying any external agency as required/appropriate, e.g. Fire or Police Service.
* Providing support to the business units and workforce at Great Western Road as required.
* Controlling access to, and egress from the site for staff, contractors and visitors.
* Monitoring and managing CCTV covering the site and the visitor experience, with due regard to data protection requirements.
* Liaising with local police and establishing effective relationships.
* Raising job cards where required to maintain the effectiveness of our security infrastructure.
* Responding to major incidents and occurrences, and supporting incident managers as required.
Your Talent and Skills
To excel in this role, you will be an accomplished team player with the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision when required. You will be a proactive problem solver, capable of thinking on your feet and handling unexpected situations effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, enabling you to engage confidently with colleagues at all levels across the organization and collaborate seamlessly across teams and departments. Previous of experience within a security role or armed forces/police/emergency services role would be advantageous but is not desired as training will be provided.
