The Department of Orthopaedics at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is now one of the largest arthroplasty units in the United Kingdom, delivering over 25% of all hip and knee replacements for the NHS in Scotland. Perioperative nursing within NHS Golden Jubilee is proud to acknowledge the strong person centred reputation that it has established; this is central to and is a major part of all that is delivered by the teams here. Join our team to expand your knowledge and skills in areas such as robotically assisted joint replacement surgery. You will also have the opportunity to participate in our pioneering Mako robotic programme. There is an opportunity for further learning and development in this role, with in-house development courses on offer. Our Clinical Education team is on hand to provide support, from staff induction to delivering monthly education days in areas such as Basic Life Support and Manual Handling, as well as speciality specific training sessions. You will be fully supported and provided with a mentor to support your learning and development. The successful post holder should demonstrate a commitment to; safe, high quality, patient-centred, evidence-based care, through auditing and service improvement whilst fostering a ‘can-do’ attitude within the team. The post holder should demonstrate excellent communication skills. This role requires flexible working over 7 days and covering on call rotas overnight and at weekends.
