Role:
1. Working closely with partners, you will be involved in the planning and delivery of audit/accounts assignments
2. Oversee junior staff during the audit and review their work
3. Deliver the audit file to the management and partner team in a timely manner
4. Manage client communication in an effective manner
5. Monitor your chargeability and your assignment budgets pro-actively
6. Identify cross-selling opportunities and potential management letter points
7. Develop specialist sector knowledge and keep abreast of industry developments
8. Mentor audit and accounts trainees and contribute to the office’s training and development programme
Requirements:
9. Experience of OMB/SME private company audits: planning, budget preparation, identifying key risks, developing an audit plan, executing the audit on site
10. Knowledge of and experience of current auditing standards and approaches: analytical review, documenting systems and controls, sampling techniques
11. Experience preparing audit and accounts files using an electronic working paper system such as Caseware
12. Significant prior experience of statutory company accounts preparation under UK GAAP, and also charities and LLPs
13. Experience in preparing and auditing consolidated accounts and component auditor issues
14. Leadership experience –experience supervising teams on-site and reviewing their work
15. Experience in preparing budgets and monitoring actual time against budget
