Are you a compassionate and experienced tutor passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse needs? We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our team in Reading, supporting primary and secondary age students with a range of needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Looked After Children, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). If you have experience in assessing, planning, and delivering tailored educational support that meets the individual needs of students, this role could be perfect for you. Key Responsibilities: Assess individual student needs and create tailored educational plans that support their academic and personal growth. Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons that cater to the unique requirements of each student, whether primary or secondary age. Support students with SEN, SEMH, ESOL, and other complex needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of academic and emotional support. Build positive relationships with students, promoting a safe and nurturing learning environment. Monitor progress regularly and adjust sessions as needed to ensure each student’s needs are met. Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support. Requirements: Proven experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, ESOL, or Looked After Children. Strong ability to assess, plan, and deliver lessons tailored to each student’s specific needs. A patient, flexible, and supportive approach to tutoring. Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students, fostering a secure and encouraging learning environment. Relevant qualifications in Education, SEN, Psychology, or related fields are desirable but not essential. Benefits: Competitive pay rate of £20-£30 per hour.
