A Corporate Governance Officer is required by North Bristol NHS Trust, one of the largest hospital trusts in the UK. You'll work within the Corporate Governance team based in Trust Headquarters with a salary from £29,970 to £36,483 and a range of NHS benefits, starting on 27 days Annual Leave + bank holidays and an excellent pension.
Main duties of the job
THE ROLE: As Corporate Governance Officer, you will act as the interface between Executive Directors, Trust Board and Committee meetings and the rest of the hospital. Your duties will include:
1. Providing a professional and high-quality administrative service that ensures the effective and efficient running of the Trust Board Sub-Committees and the Trust Leadership Team.
2. Acting as Secretary for meetings, drafting agendas, collating papers, and producing comprehensive formal minutes.
3. Coordinating the identification and recording of actions and supporting the senior Directors to take them forward to timely completion.

Essential
1. Qualified to degree level or evidence of equivalent experience.
Desirable
1. Relevant training qualification within project or administration (e.g. ILM level 3).

1. Formal minute-taking experience, ideally at Board or committee level.
2. Experience of working in a role with a focus on good record keeping where a high level of attention to detail was required.
3. Excellent IT skills in SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook E-mail, PowerPoint and Excel, including use of electronic diary.
4. Able to demonstrate a record of achievement in delivering specific pieces of work on time that met requirements.
5. Experience of working with a range of people in different roles and at different levels of seniority.
6. Working in a highly pressurised environment where priorities shift constantly.
7. Strong typing/word processing skills.
8. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
9. Ability to work to very tight deadlines and manage conflicting demands whilst providing excellent customer service.
