As a 4D BIM Coordinator, you'll be working within the Nuclear Devonport team, supporting them in the dockyard redevelopment. Your day-to-day will include:
1. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders and work closely with the senior project management team to ensure a value-added approach to digital is realized.
2. Represent the company where necessary at internal and external meetings.
3. Ensure that all modelling work is carried out in compliance with ISO 19650, BAM, and CAD standards.
4. Produce high-end visualisations to aid decision-making and facilitate onsite construction.
5. Become the point of authority for all Synchro 4D pro Projects.
6. Assist and train Digital Construction Technicians and Modellers whenever required.
We are seeking a 4D BIM Coordinator to join our team on a Major Project at Devonport dockyard in Plymouth, Devon, where we are refurbishing the Royal Navy dockyard. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on Digital Construction Technologies. Experience in 3D and 4D modelling, working with planners and designers to bring the project to life is essential. The candidate should be capable of visualizing complex problems and articulating them on screen and off, as well as checking and validating models to and from the client/designers.
Due to the site being a high-security Military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made - BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and have been UK residents for the last 5 years can be considered for this role.
Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth
Hours: Permanent, Full Time. Agile work available but must be able to commute to site.
1. Have a good understanding of civil/structural design and principles.
2. Strong interest in 3D-4D design, modelling, and creating immersive models.
3. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Synchro 4D pro.
4. Possess a high level of visualisation techniques (Framing, Colour, Contrast, Symmetry, etc.).
5. Knowledge and use of model coding for planning purposes within the 3D and 4D model.
