Embrace Community Services provides residential support services for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and acquired brain injuries.
An opportunity has arisen for the position of Team Leader in our adult's residential service in Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
The role of the Team Leader is essential to ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality strengths-based service that focuses on our residents’ core interests and encourages their development of new skills.
As a Team Leader, you are responsible for ensuring our services are built on recognizing each resident’s strengths and abilities to support each individual to continue learning and growing socially. You are also responsible for providing your team with guidance and support and ensuring that they deliver on our promise of a strengths-based approach with our residents.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Encouraging a supportive and collaborative culture among your team
2. Ensuring the ongoing focus on residents’ strengths and uncovering new ways of developing these
3. Understanding and delivering on Embrace’s core Vision, Mission, and Values
4. Assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Person in Charge
5. Fostering the development of team members to become the next Embrace Team Leads while we support you on your professional journey
Job Requirements:
1. Hold a Level 7 qualification in Social Care / Applied Social Studies or equivalent or be pursuing same
2. Hold a Nursing Degree (be registered in the relevant division of the live register of nurses, maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI))
3. Experience in overseeing the supervision of staff would be highly desirable
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Experience:
1. Experience in Disability Services
2. Full driving licence
