Mechanical Technician required based in Laindon, Essex in a purpose-built design, engineering and headquarters building with 70 employees at this site.
The majority of our business is the design and assembly of filling and packaging lines for
aerosols with a high proportion for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. The business incorporates equipment abroad linking them with our own design conveyors, enclosures, air
handling, electrical control systems and ancillary equipment.
All panel building, wiring and PLC programming is done on site and various other
departments specialise in pneumatics, can handling, guard building, machining, machine
assembly, commissioning and documentation.
Mechanical Assembly Technician Position Overview
We are looking to appoint an Equipment Assembly Technician to assist in the machining,
manufacturing and build-up of enclosures, equipment and machinery on our factory floor.
The role is very varied and requires machining, fitting, assembly, fault finding and
pneumatic skills.
Some of the typical duties are as follows: -
- Fitting and assembly work on the factory floor
- Conducting trials and tests on machinery
- Piping, testing and fault-finding pneumatic logic circuits
- Assembly, commissioning, support and service work at customers' sites
A certain amount of travel is required to support our worldwide customer base.
Mechanical Assembly Technician Position Requirements
Good basic engineering skills
- Able to interpret equipment assembly drawings and maintain the high-quality finish and
output levels expected by our customers.
- Proven teamworking, attention to detail and good problem solver
- Practical engineering experience, particularly in mechanical assembly and machining
- Ideally some exposure to pneumatics & installation/commissioning work at customer
sites
- Able to operate within the requirements of good health and safety discipline.
- Recognised Engineering certification/apprenticeship
Mechanical Assembly Technician Position Remuneration
1. Training will be provided to familiarise the successful applicant with the specialist

3. pension scheme and other generous benefits.
4. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience (Likely £30k-£35k)
