Fire and Security Commissioning Technician - Facilities Management

About the Role:
We are seeking a Commissioning Technician to join our dynamic Facilities Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in the commissioning, testing, and handover of mechanical and electrical (M&E) building services systems within commercial and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform commissioning, testing, and validation of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and BMS controls.
Conduct functional performance testing, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues.
Work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth system integration.
Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and commissioning plans.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health & safety standards, and best practices.
Produce detailed commissioning reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Support ongoing system optimization and provide technical guidance to maintenance teams.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Commissioning Technician within Facilities Management, M&E, or building services.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems commissioning.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with industry regulations and standards (e.g., CIBSE, BSRIA, SFG20).
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
