Job Role:
1. Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on preparing students for GCSE success.
2. Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
3. Supporting the development of literacy skills across the school.
4. Managing behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
5. Working closely with colleagues in the English department to develop curriculum resources and best practices.
6. Taking part in extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Experience teaching English at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
3. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
4. A passion for English and the ability to inspire a love for literature and language.
5. A valid DBS check on the update service.
