As the Head of Commercial Services for the Bristol office, you will be responsible for delivering projects with excellence and integrity. Our portfolio includes high-profile commissions across various sectors such as infrastructure, education, real estate, retail, residential, aviation, and healthcare. You will build long-term client relationships, develop your career, and support your colleagues' growth.
Your responsibilities:
1. Manage commercial aspects of projects, including governance, fee management, internal costing, and resource planning. Prepare fee proposals and bids, guiding senior colleagues as needed.
2. Foster a positive sales culture within the team, develop business opportunities, and expand our pipeline using existing frameworks.
3. Align the Bristol strategy with regional and national goals, plan annually, and identify growth areas in Bristol/Southwest.
4. Oversee client relationships and project delivery, collaborating with other service heads on multidisciplinary and national projects.
5. Ensure quality and professionalism throughout all project stages.
6. Support digital tool development to enhance technical excellence and efficiency, applying quality and environmental standards.
7. Manage and mentor trainees, assistants, and graduates, supporting their performance and development. Act as an external ambassador for AtkinsRéalis.
Your qualifications and skills:
* Chartered membership (e.g., RICS) or equivalent.
* Deep understanding of construction methods, costs, and client advising capabilities.
* Strong client management and communication skills, with experience in procurement, JCT, and NEC contracts.
* Proficiency with measurement and cost planning software.
* Effective leadership and mentoring abilities.
* Ability to engage teams and be approachable.
* Proven track record in exceeding business targets and creating value environmentally, economically, or socially.
* Enthusiasm to represent AtkinsRéalis externally.
