This role is based at the European headquarters in Hazelwood, Derbyshire. Being set in rural Derbyshire, the Lubrizol campus at Hazelwood combines state of the art Research, Development and Testing facilities with breath-taking country views that create a unique working environment not commonly associated to the chemical industry.
What You'll Do:
1. As Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, developing standards and creative engineering solutions across site.
2. Work with all levels of the business to identify innovative solutions required to meet strategic business and sustainability goals, managing from concept to delivery.
3. Support a talented multi-disciplined team, developing and mentoring individuals in an environment where they can excel.
4. Manage an exciting £2M project that will futureproof Hazelwood’s electrical infrastructure, providing greater resilience and expandability.
5. Ensure the upkeep of safety critical equipment and compliance obligations across site.
6. Drive a safety culture ensuring work performed on site is performed safely.
7. Develop and maintain documentation control ensuring site information is accurate and up to date.
8. Directly impact and shape the electrical landscape across site as a design authority.
9. Review, advise and approve changes to our plant and services, ensuring changes are carefully considered.
What We're Looking For:
1. Ensure asset maintenance and compliance obligations are satisfied in full across site.
2. Develop and maintain long-term strategic plans considering future business needs and sustainability drivers.
3. Mentor and support individual team members fostering an environment where individuals flourish.
4. Work closely with Managers and project sponsors to develop and manage project initiation through to successful delivery.
5. Build relationships to develop long-term partnerships with external providers and business leaders.
6. Project manage aspects of the long-term plans and/or specific projects as identified in site strategic plan.
7. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient project implementation.
8. Develop and maintain documentation and work plans; monitor results and adjust plans as necessary.
9. Understand financial requirements of projects including budgeting and cost management.
10. Recommend and implement changes that contribute to operational reliability and performance.
11. Identify, monitor and manage End of Life strategies for key plant and equipment.
12. Comply with health and safety requirements, legislation, and company procedures.
Skills That Make a Difference:
1. Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering.
2. A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar engineering position.
3. Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation applicable to electrical systems.
4. Experience with financial processes – budgeting and project reporting.
5. Possess good project management skills.
6. SAP experience.
7. Experience managing multiple projects at varying stages of their life cycle.
8. Trained to IET BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations.
