Director, Business Development Installed AV. About the Role: This executive level individual will be the strategically accountable leader responsible for defining the sales road map for HARMAN product solutions to meet our market and business needs focused on the Installed AV markets. The primary mission is to drive Sales Out, growth modelling and maximize demand for the HARMAN Professional Solutions division. This is achieved by establishing, building and strengthening relationships with key decision makers in this market to build a pipeline which drive sales to meet/exceed Sales Out targets. The position holder will partner with the internal teams, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales out opportunities engaging directly with the integrators, rental companies and end-users throughout the EMEA region thereby maximizing revenue for HARMAN transacted through our distribution partners. As the core strategic driver for sales activities in the EMEA region, the role is crucial for business growth expansion. What will you do: The position will have up to 10 direct reports and structure focused on Business Development. Responsible for Installed AV Sales Out targets in EMEA. o Build a strategic and operational plan in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver Sales Out results against business targets. o Drive business growth across all brands under the Installed AV portfolio including JBL, BSS, AMX, Crown & Soundcraft. Using strong business acumen work in partnership with regional and global Business Development, Account Management and Marketing leadership to develop sales pipeline and drive results where there are shared brands and interests to ensure a coherent and aligned messaging to the market.,. Develop new and innovative approaches to leverage the Installed AV sector to drive success across the wider portfolio. Particularly through Performance Audio & Retail, capitalizing on newer business investments like Flux and expanding developing markets. Provides accurate reports and sales data (such as forecasts) accordingly on the required cadence as requested by internal stakeholders and executives of the business. Responsible for the overall directorship of all EMEA strategic and operational sales and customer relationship activities for the Installed AV markets. Be a trusted leader, recognised internally and externally who is able to articulate and present market and business information effectively to drive successful results, close deals and support ongoing and sustainable business relationships. Own the people strategy for your team ensuring effective people management and development to support commercial success as well as employee engagement & wellbeing. o Lead your departments the stakeholder management with sales supporting leaders and marketing business partners for Installed AV. o Leading a team of market and product experts, working in a matrix organization with other sales teams to drive Sales-Out growth. Drives effective utilization and commitment to the company CRM system as required. Responsible for delivering successful launches and roll out of new products within assigned market and verticals in partnership with other stakeholders. Like the internal Product development teams and externally, with the assigned distribution partners in the major markets. Advises on commercial challenges affecting Sales Out and business development, reporting effective responses to senior leadership. Lead and manage relationships with the distribution channel to ensure new product launches are managed successfully in local territories. Manages challenging and sensitive situations to successful outcomes should they arise internally or with customers. Takes a leadership role within distribution partner events and direct market engagements with the Integrators and the Rental companies where presence of HARMAN is required.
