Job Specification: Principal Social Worker - Corporate Parenting
Location: Walsall
Pay Rate: 33.30 per hour
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
Role Overview: Walsall are seeking a skilled and motivated Social Worker to join their Corporate Parenting team. This role involves managing a caseload of 8-10 cases, acting as a senior member of staff, and ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive social work support within the Corporate Parenting framework.
* Manage a caseload of 8-10 children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are upheld.
* Act as a senior member of the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
* Engage in safeguarding court work, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.
* Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to promote the welfare of children and ensure their safety.
Essential Criteria:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in corporate parenting or safeguarding court work is essential.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing social work practice.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work.
As a Social Worker you are required to:
* Hold a Social Work England registration
* Be eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
