Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Process and treat hazardous & non-hazardous waste waters using various reagents
2. Attach hoses to the tanker trucks
3. Load and unload materials from tanker trucks
4. Conduct tanker washouts as needed
5. Run the filtration systems – Filter press, drum vacuum press, and various pumps
6. Daily record keeping and maintenance of various record logs and data
7. Track information in the WNS program
8. Perform general housekeeping and clean up duties as needed
9. Manage equipment and conduct minor pump maintenance and repairs as needed
10. Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED), but college degree in Chemistry, Environmental or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
2. Relevant work experience of 2+ years working with wastewater treatment preferred
3. Knowledge in hazardous waste and wastewater treatment preferred
4. Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
5. Demonstrates the ability to wear PPE properly and sustain a steady work pace over an entire shift.
6. Demonstrates the ability to complete various paperwork requirements properly.
7. Demonstrates the ability to perform functions safely and productively and according to established policies and procedures.
Pay Range:
$20/hr. - $23/hr.
