Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy team. As post holder you will work with Physiotherapists and Assistant staff undertaking a variety of clinical and non-clinical tasks to support the delivery of physiotherapy services to our patients. You will support junior staff and students, and will work alongside and delegate to assistant staff and have a significant role in the team with teaching opportunities. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of patients between 0 and 16 years old, assessing and treating patients with a variety conditions from clinical specialities including orthopaedics, rheumatology, general paediatrics and development, and musculoskeletal. This will be in the format of seeing patients as an inpatient, in outpatient appointments, and in rehabilitation sessions. You will receive supervision and annual appraisal and take an active role within your own personal development via internal and external training opportunities. Face to Face attendance will be a requirement for the Interview Main duties of the job To assess, prioritise, treat and manage own caseload of patients within the specific speciality. To determine clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated and maintain records as a legally autonomous practitioner. Patient presentation may be complex. To work closely with the MDTs to ensure high quality patient care and participate on behalf of the Physiotherapy team in daily MDT meetings. To train, supervise and monitor other physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistant practitioners, assistants and to performance manage students.
