We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Growth Strategist to join our Construction South division in the south of London boroughs region. This is an exciting opportunity to drive business growth and make a significant impact.
The successful candidate will be passionate about driving business growth and have expertise and network to identify project opportunities across the South London region. They will have a proven track record in business relationship management and development within the construction sector.
This role involves taking our offering to the market with credibility and energy, while offering advice and direction to prospective clients. The ideal candidate will be able to organise and plan sales activity to align with our strategic growth plans and produce accurate reports and forecasts on progress.
Key responsibilities include:
* Understanding the WD service offering and generating own sales leads to maintain a 3-5 year pipeline of opportunities
* Customer First Lead Generation: Effectively aligning Willmott Dixon's products and services to both new and existing customers to unlock projects and drive growth
* Team Collaboration: Engaging all staff including the local Board in developing customer relationships and driving lead progression
* Identifying and managing key customer accounts
* Maintaining and updating the CRM to inform our marketing activities
* Representing the business in the geographical area/sector focus to develop networks and WD profile
* Managing and attending all WD and industry events
* Promoting Direct Award via our frameworks alongside the WD offering
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:
* Solid and proven experience working as a Business Development Manager within the construction sector
* High level of verbal communication skills and networking
* Ability to develop long-term customer relationships to create growth opportunities
* Ability to identify and qualify new business opportunities in line with the business's strategic plan
* Presentation skills to all levels of seniority from individuals to groups
* Ability to create, manage, and analyse Sales & Marketing data and reporting
* Strong influencing skills
* Proven relationship management and networking abilities
* High levels of personal energy with the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
An estimated salary for this role is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a competitive salary, agile working, and being a disability-confident employer.
