We are recruiting for experienced financial advisers to join our teams in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, or Glasgow on a full-time, permanent basis.
The role is fundamental to the success of Mattioli Woods and successful applicants will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, regulated financial advice to clients, and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful applicants will:
1. Have a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
2. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Financial Adviser capacity
3. Have a strong understanding of the full range of pensions and wealth management planning solutions
4. Be highly driven, self-motivated, have high initiative, and be a good team player
5. Be able to research, analyse, and interpret a diverse range of highly technical information
6. Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills
7. Have excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
8. Be able to convey complex information to a wide variety of people with various levels of understanding both written and verbally
9. Have an ethical and professional approach to work
MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to a Team Director, you will provide a proactive, personal, and holistic financial planning service to our clients. Always ensuring they receive accurate information and are advised on the most suitable solutions that meet their individual objectives and circumstances.
You will be responsible for delivering top-quality holistic financial planning advice to a portfolio of retail clients. Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Provide technical and investment advice on all aspects of client’s requirements and wealth management planning
2. Create, build, and maintain long-term client relationships through quality of service and advice
3. Communicate information to clients in a manner appropriate for their level of understanding
4. Maintain own knowledge of current affairs and the potential impact on client issues
5. Explain the potential benefits and disadvantages of various products and services recommended to clients
6. Conduct research and data analysis for both the client and special projects
7. Keep up to date with all relevant regulations, legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to the role
8. Adhere to compliance procedures and comply with the regulations of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
9. Adopt an open, honest approach and deal with all client affairs with integrity
