MLK Education Search are seeking to appoint an experienced Teacher of Computing to join this unique joint Catholic and Church of England Academy in the heart of Liverpool.
The Academy is an ambitious and progressive 11-18 Academy that serves approximately 950 students. They are focused on rapidly driving standards of achievement, making it a dynamic and exciting place to work as evidenced in their recent Ofsted inspection.

Key Responsibilities:
* Teach for an allocated period each week, including delivery lead of lessons in computing.
* Be a proactive member of the department to ensure effective implementation of all policies and procedures.
* Contribute to the effective operational activities of the Academy, including attendance at meetings and events as required.
* Create and maintain an appropriate teaching and working environment.
* Ensure continuous improvement in standards, high-quality evaluation, and improvement planning throughout the Academy.
* Lead, support, and encourage the highest possible standards of behaviour, learning, attainment, and achievement.
* Manage resources creatively, effectively, and efficiently to meet the priorities of the Academy.
* Celebrate success and implement strategies for continuing improvement while constantly challenging under-performance at all levels.
* Support and ensure the health, safety, and welfare of staff and students.
* Meet the requirements of the Teacher Standards as issued by the Department for Education.
Qualifications:
* A relevant computer science-related degree.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (or equivalent, recognised teaching qualification).
* An excellent knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum Programme of study for computing at Key Stage 3 and exam specifications at Key Stage 4 & 5.
* Demonstrable experience of successful teaching including sustained improvement and high standards of learning and achievement.
