Functional area: Procurement
As an Operation & Maintenance Buyer in our Offshore Procurement team, you will support our operational sites by purchasing their services and spare parts.
An excellent development opportunity for someone with some procurement exposure and keen to progress in this area.
This individual would support our fleet of offshore sites, focusing on those in the Grimsby area.
Duties to include:
1. Hold regular meetings with site staff to meet the contractual needs of the site/s and encourage early procurement involvement
2. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
3. Prepare tender documents, issue tenders and carry out tender evaluations for, as needed.
4. Prepare approval and confirmation award documentation to support contract award decisions and place contracts with the successful supplies
5. Vendor invoice management - provide invoice query support for purchase orders.
6. Use RWE systems for supplier qualification, conducting tender processes, and in day-to-day procurement activities
7. Develop and maintain an ongoing supplier relationship management with the suppliers
8. Maintain key performance indicators and the performance of suppliers under the individual Contracts
9. Develop and maintain appropriate procurement/Project/Contract records
10. Provide general commercial support to the Team
11. Understand and apply agreed contract terms and conditions
12. Advise and support on appropriate procurement methods/strategies and identify supply chain risks
Skills and Experience:
13. Experience in buying goods and/or services previously
14. Some exposure to Material Management Systems, preferably SAP S4 HANA, and keen to learn and use new software applications
15. MCIPS member or studying to become a MCIPS accredited member would be advantageous
16. Experience and/or understanding of wind farms operations advantageous
17. Ability to effectively understand commercial risks to minimise impacts on the project
18. Experienced in building relationships
19. Self-motivation and ability to deliver on commitments
20. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support delivery of the procurement activities
21. Effective communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
22. Flexible and pragmatic with a good work ethic
