Job Description
Role Summary
Lead the quantity surveying team in overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring effective contract management, financial control, and value optimisation. You will provide strategic support to the project team to achieve successful delivery within budget, scope and required quality standards over the building and rail divisions.
Salary range:
£70,000-£85,000
Hybrid working is considered with core arrangements in place.
Experience Required
* Proven experience within a senior commercial management position in the construction and/or rail industry.
* Extensive leadership experience in managing quantity surveying teams and complex projects.
* Demonstrable experience in strategic decision-making and commercial strategy development.
Skills
1. Advanced proficiency in commercial management software and tools (including Microsoft Office applications and CEMAR).
2. Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
3. Strong understanding of standard forms of contract, such as NEC and JCT.
4. Highly effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
