Purpose Of Role
As part of our ongoing growth and commitment to fostering strong community relations, we are seeking a dedicated Community Liaison Officer. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our project teams, cultivate positive relationships within the community, and support the team in achieving excellence in our social value initiatives.
Location:
You will work on our highway and infrastructure projects constructing roads, footways and cycleways in urban environments, ensuring communities are kept informed of construction progress, and responding to enquiries from Stakeholders.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience

The Role (Requirements)
Core Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Collaborate closely with site management teams to implement plans and address challenges and delays.
2. Report and monitor project community benefit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
3. Prepare and contribute to monthly reports for Management and Clients.
4. Engage and involve the supply chain in achieving community benefits and employment & skills delivery plans to instil a positive community benefits ‘culture’ within the project.
5. Fulfil Stakeholder Engagement and Public Liaison requirements as necessary.
6. Advocate for corporate social responsibility and charitable work within the community.
7. Draft communication and engagement plans, project newsletters, advanced works notification letters, and update project information boards.
8. Serve as the primary point of contact for project inquiries, ensuring timely issue resolution.
9. Keep all stakeholders informed of work progress and maintain a high level of customer care.
10. Coordinate and attend events such as meet the contractor sessions, careers fairs, and school engagement events.
11. Provide administrative support to the site team.
12. Due to the nature of the role, some occasional and weekend work may be required to attend community events.

1. Identify, document, and share best practices and innovative approaches for community benefit delivery plans.
2. Offer project management teams guidance on best practices to achieve targets.
3. Collaborate with the project team to attain a Certificate of Excellence from the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
4. Promote value for money in achieving goals and targets.
5. Cultivate strong relationships with social enterprises, charities, and employment schemes.
6. Liaising with Third Parties.
7. Interact with local authorities and client communication managers regarding community engagement and governmental procurement targets.
8. Establish and cultivate partnerships with local communities and various agencies, including Community Councils, Educational and Employment Providers, Businesses, and Community Groups.
