Project Manager - 12 month Contract vacancy in Hybrid (3 days/week in Berkshire) (061lw)
Region: London and South East, Remote/Home working
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead and deliver a technical programme involving a blend of engineering and science-based deliverables. This role requires an individual with a strong background in project management, excellent leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The successful candidate will work on-site for 3 days per week in Berkshire, managing complex projects to meet key milestones, budgetary requirements, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery: Deliver assigned projects in line with requirements, operational constraints, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the project team to achieve both team and personal objectives in a safe and secure manner.
3. Governance & Compliance: Manage projects with a focus on governance, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
4. Resource Management: Oversee project resources, including people and financial budgets.
5. Planning & Execution: Lead the planning and execution of tasks and projects, managing work in accordance with the Work Authorisation Document (WAD).
6. Change Management: Lead, support, and initiate changes against the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
7. Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities, driving appropriate actions.
Essential Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Project Manager in a technical environment.
2. Experience managing projects with a science/engineering mix of deliverables.
3. Strong financial control and budget management skills.
4. Experience producing reports and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
5. Resilient, proactive, and capable of managing complex, evolving projects.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Desirable
1. Experience within the engineering or nuclear industries.
