Are you an experienced manager with a passion for supporting clinical practice and delivering innovative interventions? Do you thrive on creating systems, supporting staff, and driving change? Are you excited to work with children, young people, and their families? If so, this role could be the perfect next step for you!
The South Getting More Help (GMH) team, part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), supports children and young people aged 5-18 across City and South Oxfordshire. We provide assessment, formulation, and highly specialized treatment for complex mental health presentations.
This role offers the chance to be a key member of the senior clinical team, contributing to shaping the vision for the service and leading its operational delivery. The service is undergoing significant transformation, and we need someone enthusiastic, proactive, and hardworking to help drive this change.
If you're skilled at managing conflicting priorities, prioritizing service delivery and wellbeing, and adapting to a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but we are equally looking for core and transferable skills. Training and support will be provided.
The post is advertised as full-time, and based in Abingdon with some days working virtually. We are keen to employ the right candidate and happy to discuss the job plan around the role to get the right focus.
The GMH team offers opportunities for leadership training, quality improvement, and regular supervision, both individually and in group settings with other managers. As the team undergoes significant transformation following the introduction of the Thrive model, several new posts, including those with partner agencies, are available.
The service supports professional growth through service development, evaluation, teaching, and training. We offer strong supervision and operational structures, with a proven track record in continuing professional development (CPD). We are committed to evidence-based practice, allowing you to be part of service evaluations and Quality Improvement projects. Full induction and support for professional development are provided, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing.
As The Manager, You Will:
* Take responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and operations for the South GMH Team.
* Work as part of the leadership team to provide a high-quality, responsive service for children and young people in Oxfordshire.
* Deliver clinical assessments and treatment for young people with mental health conditions.
* Foster a culture of integrated services and ensure effective partnership working across localities.
* Assist in the modernization and redesign of CAMHS services, leading key projects.
* Build strong interagency relationships to support integrated care pathways and locality working.
