We are looking for a meticulous and organized Cancer Data Administrator to join our Department of Clinical Research at Musgrove Park Hospital and support the effective management of clinical trial data within the NHS. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality data standards for clinical research studies, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of trial-related information.

Main duties of the job
As Cancer Data Administrator, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely entry of clinical and trial-related data into various electronic data capture systems, in line with the specific protocols of each trial.
You'll provide valuable admin support to our Research Nurses including maintaining and updating databases that capture all aspects of the patient experience within clinical research studies, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel and online web-based databases.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of education: English, Mathematics and a science GCSE (or equivalent)
* Educated to A-level or Level 3 Advanced Diploma
* Computer qualification (eg. European Computer Driving License, MOST) or ability to demonstrate a high standard of proficiency in MS Office and electronic file management
* NVQ level 3 (or equivalent experience) in business and administration
Experience
* Data management -- writing and running reports
* Experience of dealing with patients or the public
* Experience in clinical data collection or audit
* Experience working with medical records
* Dealing with personal confidential and or sensitive information
Additional Criteria
* Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
* Evidence of a good standard of literacy/English language skills
* Advanced keyboard skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
